Writer's Block: Mobile etiquette

Do you get offended if someone repeatedly checks their mobile phone when you're out for lunch or dinner? If so, do you usually say something?

Words cannot convey how much this irritates me. I'm not a huge fan of multi-tasking outside of work time. I don't like to feel like someone is flicking between apps (of which I am merely one) when they are ostensibly spending time with me. It offends me that it's become socially acceptable to whip it out and peck feverishly at one's handheld during non-work time. It strikes me as completely onanistic and symptomatic of a growing SAD (social attention deficit) epidemic.
